**In Connecticut, it is legal to own bulletproof products.  However, by law, the products must be purchased in person.  As a company policy, we do not sell to anybody who does not have a valid CT Pistol Permit. These are currently on back order and tend to ship every few weeks.  While I don’t want to guarantee the back order time, you’re probably looking at three weeks.**

As quoted from the BulletSafe Website

BulletSafe Ballistic Plates offer Level IV protection when used in conjunction with the BulletSafe Bulletproof Vest. Adding ballistic plates to your Level IIIA Bullet Proof Vest gives you the highest level of protection available. This combination protects you not only from handgun fire, but from rifle fire as well.

The Ballistic Plate is only $169. BulletSafe strives to make great protection available for everyone. That is why we provide the lightweight protection of a ceramic plate for the price of a heavy steel one.

The Ballistic Plate comes in one size. The BulletSafe Ballistic Plate fits securely in the pocket of the BulletSafe Bullet Proof Vest. It is 11 7/8 inches tall, 10 inches across, and 0.80 inches in depth. It is curved to fit close to your body, and features a nylon cover that protects it from the sun and typical wear and tear.

Is this the best Ballistic Plate on the market? Yes, and it is available at the best price. It is guaranteed to make your Level IIIA Vest into a Level IV Vest. It weighs only 5.65 lbs, and is made from a ceramic material that contains alumina and High Strength Polyethylene. This plate is significantly lighter than a steel plate while comparable in price. The BulletSafe Ballistic Plate is a great value.

How many Ballistic Plates should I buy? It depends on how much protection you desire. SWAT teams and those who expect to be shot at from the front wear one ballistic plate in the chest pocket. Those who are in warzones wear two ballistic plates: one in the front pocket, and one in back. Analyze your unique situation to decide on how many plates you will need.

Is this a SAPI Plate? Our plate is not currently in use by the US Military, but it offers protection similar to the Enhanced Small Arms Protection Insert (ESAPI) and more protection than the Small Arms Protection Insert (SAPI) plate. Our plate is the same size as the Medium SAPI and ESAPI plates and is the same weight as the ESAPI plate.

What is the protection level of this plate when used alone? Our plate provides NIJ level III protection when used alone, such as in a plate carrier. This will protect against non-armor piercing .223 and 7.62 x 51mm rounds. For heavier rounds and level IV protection, the plate needs to be used in conjunction with our bulletproof vest.
